GLBT Historical Society
The GLBT Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets the history of GLBT people and the communities that support them. Founded in 1985, they are recognized internationally as a leader in the field of GLBT public history. The GLBT Historical Society is a registered 501(c)3 educational nonprofit organization.
The GLBT Historical Society depend on a multitude of community volunteers to fulfill its mission of preserving and interpreting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history. You can get involved with this exciting and important work! Donate your time for projects and tasks that appeal to your skills and interests. Current volunteer opportunities include staffing the desk at the museum, assisting with special events and helping out with administrative tasks. Most involve a commitment of at least two shifts a month; others are one-time or short-term projects.
