Join the Trans Resistance
July 27, 2017
Join the Community Resistance Network and help the Transgender Law Center in its efforts to provide more legal support to the trans community.
Yesterday President Trump singled out the transgender community for attack, framing the very existence of trans people as “disruptive” and announcing a terrible new policy on transgender service members.
This is only the latest in a series of attacks on our community, including the continued push to deprive affordable health care from millions of Americans, including many trans people who depend on the Affordable Care Act for life-saving services.
How can we help?
The Transgender Law Center has established a new Community Resistance Network, powered by volunteers, in order to expand legal support to the trans community.
Get involved by fielding requests that come in through TLC’s Legal Information Helpline, supporting TLC’s Trans Immigrant Defense Effort, or providing resources to people who are incarcerated.
All three positions are remote: commit to at least three hours a week, but volunteer from anywhere, on your own schedule.
By joining the team, you will play a critical role in helping Transgender Law Center connect community members with information, resources, and legal representation.
