Important: Before volunteering with the LA LGBT Center, you must attend an info session (1 hour long) via Zoom or in person. Sign up for one here. Once you complete your info session, you can sign up for the clinical research opportunity that you want.

Program Summary:

Since 1995, the Center’s Research Program has conducted clinical research studies, pharmaceutical trials, social and behavioral studies, epidemiologic research, and longitudinal cohort studies focused on STI/HIV prevention, intervention, and treatment. Program collaborators include federal, state, and private sponsors, and numerous research-intensive academic institutions, as well as the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Its data has been used to publish more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts that have contributed significantly to the development of evidence-based interventions and policy changes relevant to the health of the LGBT community.
