center for asian american media
CAAM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible.
CAAM funds, produces, distributes and exhibits works in film, television and digital media. For 38 years, CAAM has exposed audiences to new voices and communities, advancing our collective understanding of the American experience through programs specifically designed to engage the Asian American community and the public at large.
Volunteer opportunities include being a part of the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian films at CAAMFest in May! Over 300 volunteers from around the Bay Area log almost 2,500 hours to make our festival a success! Festival volunteers serve in a variety of capacities, from the box office to galas and receptions, to ticket taking and driving Festival guests, and receive benefits including vouchers for festival screenings, the opportunity to meet industry professionals and fellow film enthusiasts, receiving an official festival t-shirt, and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party.
CAAM also has year-round opportunities at CAAM: from helping in the marketing department to data analytics assistance, there are ample ways to give back to our communities.
