San Francisco: TurnOut is assisting SF Pride to manage volunteers for pride 2019 and we want to bring as many folks as we can to help out! There are numerous ways you can volunteer to support San Francisco Pride in 2019. So come immerse yourself one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the US! Sign Up to volunteer!

East Bay: Join the Queer Women of Color Film Festival's incredible team of Volunteers! You are a critical part of the Film Festival, and you make QWOCMAP better and stronger. QWOCMAP's 15th anniversary festival focus is “Resilient Past is Vibrant Prologue." They will need volunteers to cover many shifts! Learn more!

San Francisco: This week we also introduce a new nonprofit partner: Golden Gate Business Association. Founded in 1974, the Golden Gate Business Association (GGBA) is the San Francisco gay chamber of commerce and the nation’s first LGBT Chamber of Commerce. This week GGBA is looking for 5 volunteers for June Make Contact on June 18th. Learn more here!

San Francisco: Tenderloin Tessie is looking for volunteers to collect money, sticker people and do crowd control at a gate for Pride 2019. The more volunteers they get for this event, the more money they make for Tenderloin Tessie. These monies go towards helping TT to continue having dinners that feed on average 1,000 people at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. Learn more!


San Francisco: The Compton’s Transgender Cultural District is producing a brunch gala in association with Kween Culture Initiative, Translife and FLUX. For the event, they are looking for volunteers to help for the event in the following areas (Sunday, June 2, 2019 at The Green Room at the SF War Memorial building from 11 AM – 2 PM). Learn more!


San Francisco: Eye Zen is hosting a performance-driven walking tour, placing audiences in the physical spaces of LGBTQ2+ ancestors. They are looking for volunteers to help with the event! Volunteers help with production, street safety, and ticket taking. So come OUT into the streets with us to watch the rich LGBTQ2+ history of SOMA come alive. Sign up here!

North Bay: Every year Lazy Bear Fund puts on one of the largest and most successful bear gatherings in the world: LAZY BEAR WEEK.This year, the Lazy Bear Week will run from Monday July 29th through Monday August 5th in Guerneville, CA. They are looking for volunteers to cover various shift and you will be rewarded with a Lazy Bear tag! Sign up here!


San Francisco: Openhouse is looking for volunteers to join their Friendly Visitors Program. They are looking for people who care about reaching across generations in the LGBTQ community and want to make a difference, who are kind and patient, and who can visit a senior at least twice a month for a few hours. They will offer training and orientation. Learn more!


East Bay: Oakland Gay Men's Chorus is looking for a Acknowledgement Letter Coordinator to help to reconcile donations in Little Green Light. Find out more about this opportunity here!


East Bay: The LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Center is looking for a full-time volunteer to to assist with online marketing/outreach strategy and with the newsletter development. The position is remote. More info here!

East Bay: Gay Prom Hayward 2019 will be held by Project Eden and Lambda on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Chabot College in Hayward. For the occasion they are looking for volunteers to help the night go smoothly. In particular, volunteers are wanted for the receiving line to welcome the youth and cheer them on - which is especially important because counter-protesters are expected to show up as well. The DuoPACT study is enrolling couples where one or both partners are HIV-positive. You and your partner can help test a support program about HIV related issues. All study visits are confidential. Study visits are completed in San Francisco or Oakland, as well as online. Eligible participants will be compensated for participating. Learn more here.
