The Oakland Gay Men’s Chorus brings voice through song to a community where everyone matters.

Opportunity Description

The Oakland Gay Men's Chorus has been invited to host the bar for the Royal Grand Ducal Council (RGDC) of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties at their annual coronation. We will be able to keep all the tips as a donation to our organization! Most of the volunteers will be our chorus members. However, we would love some help from anyone with bartending experience to help keep those thirsty queens happy! ;)

When: Saturday, July 13
Where: Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

There are three shift opportunities.

  • 4:00pm to 7:30pm - includes setup. We only need about half for setup, so arriving at 5:00pm is also an option.

  • 7:30pm to 11:00pm - includes breakdown. Service stops about 10:00pm so it would be possible to duck out earlier.

  • 5:30pm to 9:30pm - includes serving the guest. The groups that are seated on stage during the coronation. (This specific task is more serving than bartending.)

All materials and drinks are provided.
Bartending experience is highly desired! But we'll take anyone who thinks they can make us some good tips!
