Silicon Valley Pride - Committees volunteers
Silicon Valley Pride
Silicon Valley Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.
Planning for the 2019 Pride Festivities, August 24th and August 25th has gotten off to a good start, and we are still looking for community members to participate in the various sub-committees. Committees meet every FIRST THURSDAYS from 7PM to 9PM at the Billy DeFrank Community Center in San Jose and learn more about our organization and our need for committee volunteers, as outlined below:

Plan out the route, recruit parade participants, manage logistics the day of the parade, organize and register contingents in the Parade, and coordinate the efforts of Parade volunteers the day of the Parade.
Assist in recruiting the talent, i.e. DJs, bands, singers, dancers, performers, etc., assist with stage management and backstage management, and assist with transportation/hospitality of the talent.
Operations & Logistics Committee:
Help plan the logistics and operations of the festivities the day of the event. This would include, set up, tear down, vendor registration and hospitality, management of beverage sales & ABC license requirements, and everything else vendor related.
