Volunteer at our gala!
Compton’s Transgender Cultural District
Compton's Transgender Cultural District, the world's first transgender district, is an effort to celebrate the lives, resilience, and presence of transgender people in San Francisco's Tenderloin District- and educate the world on the rich history and power transgender people have had throughout history.
The Compton’s Transgender Cultural District is producing a brunch gala in association with Kween Culture Initiative, Translife (a San Francisco AIDS Foundation project) and FLUX (an AIDS Healthcare Foundation project).
The event will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at The Green Room at the SF War Memorial building from 11 AM – 2 PM.
We would like to work with TurnOut to see if you might be able to provide us with some volunteer help for the event in the following areas:
1. Event Set-Up (9:30am - 11am): 2-3 volunteers. Casual dress code
2. Food Server (11am - 3pm): 4-5 volunteers. All black clothing
3. Event Breakdown (2:30pm - 4pm): 2-3 volunteers. Casual dress code
Any of the volunteers are welcome to work more than 1 shift, the food server shifts will have a light lunch provided for them.`
