Equality California Institute - 2019 LGBTQ Advocacy Day
Registration for 2019 LGBTQ Advocacy Day is now open!
Equality California Institute
Equality California brings the voices of LGBTQ people and allies to institutions of power in California and across the United States, striving to create a world that is healthy, just, and fully equal for all LGBTQ people. We advance civil rights and social justice by inspiring, advocating, and mobilizing through an inclusive movement that works tirelessly on behalf of those we serve.
This event will welcome hundreds of LGBTQ leaders, activists and allies from across California for a day of grassroots political action to raise awareness about critical priorities for the LGBTQ community, people living with HIV and all communities impacted by the divisive actions of the Trump Administration.
Participants of LGBTQ Advocacy Day will:
Learn how to harness grassroots political power;
Receive training on our legislative priorities and how to advocate for them;
Attend a rally and press conference on the West Steps; and
Meet face-to-face with California legislators and staff, urging them to pass key legislation to protect and expand the civil liberties of all Californians.
Registration is $25 and includes lunch and training.
Limited scholarships and travel grants are available.
