Shanti Project exists to enhance the health, quality of life and well-being of people with terminal, life-threatening or disabling illnesses or conditions. Through a continuum of services, including in-home and onsite patient and care navigation, emotional and practical support and preserving the human-animal bond, Shanti strives to achieve the highest medical and quality of life outcomes for San Francisco’s most vulnerable.
Shanti offers opportunities for members of the community to be of service, to put their compassion, their skills, and their interests into action to support people living with the challenges of HIV and cancer, and other life challenges. Volunteer opportunities include Peer Support Client Match; Drop-In Center Peer Support; Activities Desk; Internships, Fundraising; Pet Support; Wellness Activity/Workshop Leader; Administrative Support; Special Events; and skills-based volunteering or Pro Bono work.
