Easter in the Park 2026 - Community Volunteer Opportunities
About Easter in the Park
Easter in the Park is a beloved annual event hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at San Francisco’s Mission Dolores Park. Each year, thousands of Bay Area queer, trans, and allied folx gather for a day of music, performance art, and irreverent fun.
We Invite Community Members and Neighbors to Volunteer
All volunteer opportunities listed are open to any queer, trans, or ally who are willing to share their time and skills to support the Sisters’ Mission to help spread beauty and joy, oust bigotry, and amplify queer and trans voices.
Easter in the Park kicks off with Children’s Easter at 10:00 AM and includes family-friendly programming such as an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, and games. Children’s Easter takes place on the east side of the park’s north field — near the corner of 18th and Dolores.
Beginning at Noon, the park becomes a San Francisco spectacle of outrageous joy and sacred nonsense — culminating in the legendary contests: Easter Bonnet, Foxy Mary, and Hunky Jesus. Hosted by emcees Sister Roma, Peaches Christ, and Honey Mahogany the celebration features live entertainment, drag artists, miracles and Sisterly mischief. Featured artists include internationally renowned drag queen Christian recording artist Flamy Grant, San Francisco’s Drag Laureate Per Sia, Bay Area King Papi Churro, activists and entertainers Xochitl, Grace Towers, KaiKai Bee Michaels, and powerhouse vocalist Alotta Boutte.
