Community in Motion: Volunteer for Recovery Ride
My name is Brandon Stanton, I am the manager of the Castro Country Club and the Recovery Ride Volunteer Director.
As we begin planning for the 2026 Recovery Ride, I want to personally invite each of you to participate as a Recovery Ride Road Crew volunteer.
The Recovery Ride is more than a cycling event — it is a powerful expression of the Castro Country Club’s mission to be a safe and sober community center and a refuge for the LGBTQ recovery community in the San Francisco Bay Area. From September 11–13, 2026, Riders will travel from Sausalito through Marin and Sonoma Counties to Guerneville, raising vital funds and building community every mile of the way. Behind this extraordinary event is the Road Crew — the volunteers who ensure the ride is safe, welcoming, and successful. There are a wide range of roles available at various skill and engagement levels. Volunteers will be provided with meals and tents during the event.
To streamline recruitment, onboarding, and communication, we are using the POINT Volunteer Platform for all 2026 Recovery Ride volunteer roles.
