Save the Bay & TurnOut: Pride Nursery Gardening Day & Native Plant Botanical Illustration Workshop
People, plants, and wildlife have evolved side by side through generations. Plants and wildlife teach us strength, stillness, and connectivity with everything in our ecosystem. In the face of continuous hardship and challenge, queer communities have experienced support, renewal, and connection with each other and nature. As a testament to our resilience and joy in community, we continue to exist, beautifully and loudly in every space we take up.
Join us to celebrate ourselves and each other in connection with native plants and the outdoors! Come spend a day along the shoreline with us! We will be transplanting native plants in our nursery and enjoying some treats along the shoreline with each other. All materials needed will be provided. Dress comfortably and bring layers in case it gets chilly, the shoreline can get windy. Please bring water, yourself, and a friend!
On top of building queer community and nursery transplanting, get excited for a Native Plant Botanical Illustration Workshop, hosted by the incredibly talented Elena Ruiz!
We can't wait to see you there! Reach out to contact@turnout.org with any questions.
