Event Volunteers Needed for ORAM's LA Refugee Pride Reception
Volunteer and support ORAM's LA Refugee Pride Reception!
Join ORAM for their sixth annual Refugee Pride Reception on Saturday, June 21st, in Los Angeles — a vibrant celebration of Pride Month and World Refugee Day and a rallying call for justice. U.S. Congressman Mark Takano will be a featured speaker at the event. Congressman Takano is the first openly gay person of color elected to the House of Representatives in 2012. As they return to LA for the third consecutive year, they invite you to stand with resilient, remarkable LGBTQ refugees — and help raise critical funds to protect, empower, and uplift this underserved community.
Volunteers are needed for:
Catering Support - ensuring catering station is stocked.
Bar Support - supporting the bar tender with glassware/ice.
Registration - helping check people into the event.
Floater - helping ensuring clutter and debris are removed from the event and helping set the room up for event speakers.
Volunteers must be 18+ and able to lift 20lbs.
