They welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning folks and allies ages 18-29 to join them for a social, entertaining night to meet new friends, community members, and cuties.

Activities include: one-on-one and group mixing; introductions; getting familiar with resources and services at the LGBTQ Center OC; sharing social media; and more!

Radiant Health Centers, formerly AIDS Services Foundation Orange County, will host its annual AIDS Walk Orange County event on Saturday, October 7 at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. We are looking for individuals and groups to volunteer for the Festival Area between the hours of 5:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Shifts will vary throughout the day, with majority of shifts in the morning. Examples of volunteer needs include: registration, t-shirt booth, cheer teams, info booth, parking and site maintenance, event break down.

Gay for Good California Coastal Cleanup

Gay For Good mobilizes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally volunteers to promote diversity, foster inclusion and strengthen ties to the broader community.

Volunteer Description: Join G4G OC/Long Beach for the 39th annual California Coastal Cleanup Day! This is the state’s largest volunteer event. It’s a chance for everyone in our state, no matter where they live, to help clean up trash from our environment before the rains come and wash it out to the coast and ocean.

Time & Date: Saturday, September 23rd, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location: Crystal Cove State Park, Newport Beach, CA 92657. Pelican Parking Lot 3.

Important Location Information: For this location at Pelican Parking Lot #3 in Crystal Cove State Park, let the kiosk attendant at the entrance know you’re there for Coastal Cleanup Day and they’ll direct you to the meetup location. Park Fee waived between 8:30am to 11:30am for participants.

Other Information:

  • Please bring a water bottle, reusable gloves, sunscreen, a hat, and wear closed toed shoes.

  • Please join their “Bring Your Own” philosophy efforts by bringing your own grocery/retail plastic bags (for reuse), bucket, garden trowel, strainers, sifters, and/or reusable water bottle to make this event as ZERO WASTE as possible! Supplies will be provided for those who do not have them.

Vital Link is nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing students for their future careers through experiential learning opportunities. They offer programs that introduce students to the world of robotics, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare and medical, computer programming, digital media arts, automotive technology and more.

Vita Link will be hosting a Student Leadership Summit on Wednesday, November 30th. Students from across Southern California will come together to participate in hands-on workshops, industry discussion panels, and more. Volunteers are needed to assist with various roles to ensure this event is a success!

Volunteer Roles: There are several roles for volunteers, including set up and tear down, guiding and directing students from one workshop to the next, and facilitating hands-on workshops (training available. Professionals are also needed to participate in a mentor roundtable session from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

This fun-filled night of performances will feature music old and new made popular through Hollywood holiday films and television spectaculars. Known for their music, artistry and humor, MenAlive’s talent will take your holiday season. Join their volunteer crew today!

Volunteer Roles: Producers of this concert are seeking volunteers who can assist ASAP for pre-event prep and/or day-of concert support!

Pre-Event Volunteers:

  • Transport lumber and props from Lowe’s/Home Depot to the construction site. Volunteer must have a car.

  • Decorate two giant Christmas trees at La Mirada Theatre

  • Assist set designer with props and stage construction

Day-of Concert Volunteers:

  • Stage Crew: Help backstage day of the show, moving props on and off stage

Requirement: Volunteers must be 18+

Volunteer at the Makers & Shakers Market!

The Makers & Shakers Market is a group of curated markets that bring small businesses and the local community together. The event has 60+ vendors offering a wide variety of goods & services including macrame, vintage clothes, home decor, candles, skincare, art, pottery, desserts, fresh & dried florals, jewelry, and more. There will be giveaways, face painting, bounce house, vineyard hay rides, mini professional photo sessions, photo ops, live music, plenty of wine & good food! This event is free and to the public and is family/pet friendly.

Location: Rancho Guejito Vineyard - 17224 San Pasqual Valley Rd, Escondido, CA 92027

Volunteer Roles: They are currently look for volunteers to help set-up the event from 8am - 12am as well as to help with parking/directions for the event from 11am - 5pm.

Volunteer for the Orange County Sustainable Living Fair

Citizens' Climate Lobby is looking for volunteers to help with the Orange County Sustainable Living Fair, a community fair that offers everyday ideas and a hopeful vision for a sustainable future! The event will consist of a vegan cooking demo by Molly Basler, a worm composting workshop by Reform & Sustain, arts & crafts, games for kids, live music, eco-talks/panel discussions, and raffles. Volunteers are encouraged to explore the event after their shift has ended.

Date & Time: Saturday, May 21st, 2022 10 am-5 pm

Location: Brea Congregational Church, 300 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821

Volunteer Role/Requirements: There will be multiple roles/shifts available to volunteers including: checking in attendees at the welcome booth, helping with set up, and helping with clean up.

COVID-19 Precautions: Attendees are required to wear a mask inside to protect the vulnerable in our community. Masks are not required outdoors.

Parking: If traveling west on Imperial Highway, turn left at Sycamore Ave. Once parked, walk back to Imperial Highway and go a half-block west to the church. For those traveling east on Imperial Highway, turn right on Flower Avenue. The church is at the corner of Imperial and Flower. Please do not park in the alley immediately off Sycamore.
